Vidiot Video Editor Software – Install Vidiot on Ubuntu Linux

Vidiot is a free and open source non-linear video editor for Linux and Windows. It is a simple and easy-to-use video editor for home users, with features such as video converter, video compositing, trimming, titles, key frames, transitions, speed changing, cropping, and scaling. Vidiot is released under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPLv3).

To install Vidiot video editor on Ubuntu, you can use either Snap or deb package. Here are the steps:

Install Vidiot via Snap:

Open your terminal app and run the following snap install command.

sudo snap install vidiot

This will install the latest version of Vidiot video editor on Ubuntu. After that open vidiot from the show applications menu.

And uninstall it using this command.

sudo snap remove vidiot

Install Vidiot video editor via DEB:

Download the latest version of Vidiot video editor from the above Vidiot download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Here “Vidiot-0.3.37-i386.deb” is the downloaded file name. You can change below commands based on your file name and path.

Open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Vidiot apt installation command. It will install Vidiot on your system.

sudo apt install ./Downloads/Vidiot-0.3.37-i386.deb

After the installation you can open it from the applications menu
