How to install Tizonia on Ubuntu – Terminal cloud music player

Tizonia is a free and open source command line cloud music player for Linux. It is released under GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 license. You can use this as a music client and server. It supports Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TuneIn, Plex servers and Chromecast devices. Using this you also play your local MP2, MP3, AAC, OGG, VORBIS, FLAC, OPUS, and WAV/AIFF file formats. It is beased on OpenMAX IL 1.2 framework. Some other important features are you can set SHOUTcast and Icecast LAN server for local MP3 files and it provides MPRISv2 remote control interface for users.

Install Tizonia Terminal cloud music player on Ubuntu:

You can install this via snap and install script on ubuntu. We will see one by one now.

Install Tizonia via snap:

To install it via snap, you need open your terminal app (press ctrl+alt+t). Then type this snap Tizonia Terminal cloud music player installation command in terminal and press the enter key in your keyboard.

sudo snap install tizonia

If needed enter your ubuntu user password to confirm the Tizonia music player installation. That’s all . It will install the latest Tizonia Terminal cloud music player on ubuntu.

Install Tizonia via script:

In your terminal run this command to install it via script.

curl -kL https://github.com/tizonia/tizonia-openmax-il/raw/master/tools/install.sh | bash

It will install the latest Tizonia on Ubuntu.
