Dippi Display Analyzer for Linux

Dippi is a free and open desktop and laptop display analyzer application for Linux. Using Dippi you can calculate display DPI, aspect ratio and get advice about different densities. It will help in your laptop or external monitor purchase to find out if a display is a good choice based on its size and resolution. It is written in Vala and based on GTK4, LibAdwaita and released under GNU General Public License v3.0.

How to Install Dippi on Ubuntu Linux

Dippi is available as a flatpak package file from remote flathub. So first you need to install flathub and flatpak on your system. Follow below link for the flatpak and flathub installation tutorial.

How to Install Flatpak and Flathub

Restart your system after flatpak and flathub installation. Now in the terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) run below Dippi app flatpak installation command. It will install the latest version of Dippi on your system.

flatpak install flathub com.github.cassidyjames.dippi

After that you can open Dippi using this command in terminal.

flatpak run com.github.cassidyjames.dippi

Also uninstall it using

sudo flatpak uninstall com.github.cassidyjames.dippi
