Microsoft has launched Internet Explorer Developer Channel.This ia a beta version of IE that gives early adopters a sneak peek of upcoming browser features. IE Developer Channel can run alongside and independently of IE11.Its available in both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) editions.

Automatic Internet Explorer updates

Microsoft announced today that it will start rolling out automatic upgrades to Internet Explorer across Windows 7, Vista and XP. It will start from january for customers in Australia and Brazil who have turned on automatic updating via Windows Update. But the user’s home page, search provider, and default browser remains unchanged. With automatic updates enabled through Windows Update, customers can receive IE9 and future versions of Internet Explorer seamlessly without any “update fatigue” issues.

CSS3 PIE

CSS3 PIE (Progressive Internet Explorer) is an IE attached behavior which, when applied to an element, allows IE to recognize and display a number of CSS3 properties.

PIE currently adds full or partial support to IE 6 through 8 for the following CSS3 features:

border-radius
box-shadow
border-image
multiple background images
linear-gradient as background image

And in IE9 PIE adds support for border-image and linear-gradient.

From wordpress blog “WordPress has discontinued support for Internet Explorer 6. It has required increasingly complex code trickery to make the WordPress dashboard work in the IE6 browser, which was introduced 10 years ago and does not support current web standards.”
